Plant 20^10 cm, glabrous, rough. Leaves 40-90 x 1 -2 mm, linear, fleshy, somewhat subcylindrical, obtuse, 1 -veined. Inflorescence without nonflowering branches. Spikes 4-6 cm, with 2-4 spikelets per cm; spikelets (l-)2-flowered. Inner bract c. 5-5 mm; outer bract c. 1 -5 mm, overlapping J of the inner. Calyx c. 5-5 mm. Corolla pale violet. Calcareous cliffs. • Karpathos (near Vrondi). Cr.
