Leaves 50- 70 x 15-24 mm, oblanceolate-spathulate, 5- to 9-veined, sub- glaucous, on somewhat woody, basal branches 10-30 cm; petiole 2-5 mm wide, shorter than the lamina. Inflorescence 10-20 cm; sterile branches few or absent; scales 3-4 mm. Spikes 1 cm, dense, with 9 spikelets per cm; spikelets 3-flowered. Inner bract c. 3 -5 mm. Calyx c. 3 - 5 mm, conical. Corolla c. 5- 5 mm, bluishviolet. Slopes near the sea. • W. Sardegna (near Oristano). Sa.
