Annual. Leaves 6-30 x 3-11 mm, ovate, obovate or oblonglanceolate, sessile or very shortly petiolate, dentate, glabrous or sparsely hairy. Scapes 1-several, 3-15 cm, with short, glandular and eglandular patent hairs. Inflorescence many-flowered; involucral bracts 6-1 2x2-7 mm, ovate, obovate or oblonglanceolate, connate at the base. Pedicels equal to or shorter than bracts, elongating in fruit. Calyx 8-10 mm, more or less densely hairy, accrescent. Corolla c. 6 mm, white or pink, shorter than the calyx.
