Biennial; stem 50-120 cm, lanate below, glandular-hirsute above. Basal leaves 8-20 x 5-8 cm, oblong-ovate, crenate-dentate, hairy on the veins beneath, elsewhere glabrous to sparsely pubescent, long-petiolate. Inflorescence simple. Bracts 6-15 mm, lanceolate to linear, long-acuminate; pedicels 5-10 mm. Calyx 5-7 mm. Corolla 35-40 mm in diameter, yellow, with purplish spots at base of upper lobes, glandular-pubescent outside. Stamens 5, the lower with decurrent anthers; upper filaments with violet hairs, the lower glabrous. Capsule 7-9 mm, ellipsoid. Fagus- woods. Mountains o f Krym. Rs (K). (Caucasus, N. Anatolia.)
