Up to 1 m, pubescent. Leaves 4-5- 8(—12) x 3-6(-7) cm, broadly ovate, deeply serrate-crenate, acuminate, cuneate at base, petiolate. Inflorescence 3-10 cm; floral leaves somewhat smaller than the foliage leaves. Calyx 3-3-5 mm, gibbous at base, glabrous inside. Corolla 3-5-4 mm, white, with a ring of hairs inside. Cultivated in S.E. Europe fo r ornament and fo r its aromatic oil, and locally naturalized in E. Ukraine. [Rs (W,?E).] (Himalayan region.)
