21. M. inodora (Desf.) Bentham , Lab. Gen. Sp. 375 (1834).

Ericoid, much-branched, puberulent dwarf shrub 10-30 cm with crowded, erect branches. Leaves 2-3 x c. 0-5 mm, acicular, rigid, evergreen, very dense and fasciculate, with revolute margin. Verticillasters mostly with 2 flowers, crowded, the pedicellate flowers exceeding the subtending leaves. Calyx c. 4 mm, villous in throat; teeth c. i as long as tube, lanceolate-subulate, unequal. Corolla 8-10 mm, purplish. Flowering in winter. Dry hillsides and waste ground. Islas Baléares, S. Spain. BIHs. (N. W. Africa.)
