Plant with long slender arcuate to procumbent, nonflowering branches bearing axillary clusters of small leaves. Flowering stems up to 12 cm, erect to ascending, pubescent; axillary clusters absent. Leaves 8-12 x (1 -2—)1 -5—2 mm, herbaceous, pale green, glabrous, ciliate at base, mostly petiolate. Inflorescence capitate to somewhat elongated with the lowest verticillasters distant. Bracts 2-5—4 mm wide, similar to the leaves, elliptical to narrowly ovate, mostly exceeding the verticillasters, pale green, ciliate. Calyx 4-5-6 mm, with campanulate to subcylindrical, pubescent tube distinctly shorter than lips; upper teeth 1 -2-1 -8 mm, narrowly lanceolate, ciliate. Corolla 7-8 mm, whitish. 2« = 56. • C. & E.
