Cauline leaves usually exceeding the internodes. Inflorescence with most verticillasters densely crowded. Bracts 10-12 mm, lanceolate, entire, reddish-purple, suberect. Calyx-teeth 2-5-3 x 0-5 mm, sublinear. Corolla 12- 13 mm, violet-blue. Throughout the range o f the species.
