Stem up to 40 cm, with crispate hairs and patent, glandular hairs. Leaves ovate-lanceolate to broadly ovate, dentate, cuneate to subtruncate (rarely attenuate) at the base. Calyx 8-12 mm, green, with smooth or finely punctate, patent, translucent hairs. Corolla 15-28 mm, deep pink with yellow blotches. 2« = 16. Somewhat calcifuge.
