Stem up to 40 cm, with crispate hairs, with or without glandular hairs. Leaves narrowly linear to lanceolate-ovate or rarely ovate, entire or dentate, rarely glabrous, cuneate at base. Calyx 8-13 mm; tube canescent to villous with strongly papillose, opaque hairs. Corolla 14-24 mm, deep reddish-pink with yellow blotches (rarely white). 2/z= 16. W., C. & S.
