Perennial; stem 20-30 cm, woodyat base, lanate-villous. Lower leaves 25-60 x 10-22 mm, oblong-elliptical or lanceolate, entire or dentate; cauline leaves cuneate at base. Bracts similar to the leaves, exceeding the flowers. Flowers 2 at each node. Calyx 6- 10(-ll)mm, the teeth shorter than the tube. Corolla 18- 25(-28) mm, yellow; tube slightly exceeding calyx; upper lip with 2 short lobes. Stamens exserted; filaments hairy. S.E. Europe, from Turkey-in-Europe to Krym. Bu Rm Rs (K) Tu.
