( Alectorolophus rumelicus (Velen.) Borbas ).
Stem up to 60 cm, simple or branched, often with black streaks, densely to sparsely glandular-hairy above. Leaves lanceolate to ovate. Bracts triangular-ovate, glandular-hairy (rarely subglabrous), with teeth scarcely diminishing in length towards apex. Calyx densely to sparsely glandular-hairy, the hairs persisting in fruit. Corolla up to 20 mm; tube slightly curved. E.C. Europe and Balkan peninsula. Al Bu Cz Hu Ju Rm Rs (W).

Aestivai: R. rumelicus subsp. simonkaianus Soó , Feddes Repert. 26: 197 (1929).
Vernal: type of the species.
Montane: Alectorolophus sagorskii Semler , Allgem. Bot. Zeitschr. 14: 118 (1908).
R. aschersonianus (M. Schulze) Soó , Feddes Repert. 26: 198 (1929) ( Alectorolophus rumelicus subsp. aschersonianus (M. Schulze) Hegi ), from C. Germany (near Jena), andR. oesilensis (Ronniger & Saarson) Vassilcz. in Schischkin & Bobrov, Fl. URSS 22: 684 (1955) ( R. rumelicus subsp. oesilensis Ronniger & Saarson ), from Estonia (island of Sarema), are scarcely distinguishable from 14, though the latter is said to have narrower leaves.
