Stem up to 60 cm, simple or branched, glabrous to moderately hairy, often with black streaks. Leaves linear-lanceolate, with patent, acute teeth. Bracts much exceeding calyx, broadly triangular, acuminate, glabrous; teeth gradually diminishing in length towards apex, the basal long, subaristate, the upper remote, patent. Calyx glabrous. Corolla-tube slightly curved. S.E. part of C. Europe; S.E. part of U.S.S.R. Au Cz Hu Ju Rm Rs (W,?K, E).
