Stems 7-20 cm, numerous, simple, crispate-pubescent. Leaves 15-30 x 7-20 mm, subsessile or shortly petiolate, hirsute to subglabrous, with 3-6(-9), usually subobtuse teeth on each side, the lower broadly ovate to rhombic or suborbicular, the upper ovate to oblong-lanceolate. Racemes 2-4 cm in flower, dense, lengthening somewhat in fruit and usually glabrescent. Corolla 10-13 mm, violet-blue (rarely pink); tube slightly exceeding limb. Stamens equalling or slightly exceeding corolla. 2« = 36. Crevices of limestone rocks. • E. Alps, westwards to 10°15' F. Au It Ju.
