(b) Subsp. graeca (Ivanina) Werner , Bot. Jahrb. 79: 236 (1960):
Corolla 15-25 mm; middle lobe of lower lip 5-10 mm. From c. 40° 30' N. southwards . D. macedonica Heywood , Kew Bull. [6]: 149 (1951), described from N.W. Greece (Smolikas Oros), resembles 9(b) in habit and flower-colour but differs in its lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate calyx-lobes and scarcely ventricose corolla with acute lobes; in these features it agrees with 6, which it also resembles vegetatively. It is regarded by Werner as a hybrid between 7 and 9(b) but its status is not clear.
