Hojas con pecíolo 1-6 cm; limbo 0,7-2,5 X 0,8-2,7 cm, con escotadura de hasta 1/6 de su longitud. Escapo de menos de 10(12) cm en la antesis; brácteas 4-7 mm. Inflorescencia 1-3 flores. 2 n = 40*.
Pastos subalpinos y alpinos, generalmente en suelos profundos y lugares innivados, preferentemente sobre calizas; 1350-2600 m. IV-VII. De Montenegro (Crna Gora) hasta los Alpes, Apeninos, Macizo Central francés, Pirineos. And. Esp.: (B) Ge Hu L Na. N.v., cat.: soldanel·la.
