Mustachioed Snake Eel. To 55 cm ( 21.6 in) TL (McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995). Gulf of California, including Cabo San Lucas, southern Baja California (McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995), Peru ( Chirichigno and Vélez 1998) , and Islas Galápagos ( Grove and Lavenberg 1997). Benthic; depth: 5–40 m ( 15–131 ft) (min.: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California; max.: McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995).
