Distribution. Korea (Gyeongsangnam-do, Jeollanam-do), China (Hubei, Sichuan, Fujian, Guangxi) ( Zheng & Zou 1981), Japan (Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Izu Islands, Tsushima Island, Okinawa main Island) ( Ishikawa & Tomokuni 2012b).
Comments. This species can be distinguished from Pachygrontha antennata ( Uhler, 1860) , a common species widespread in South Korea ( Kwon et al. 2001), by having a characteristic black longitudinal stripe on the corium ( Yasunaga et al. 1993).
