Type species: Ancylodes pallens Ragonot, 1887 View in CoL (by original designation).
Diagnosis. Species of Ancylodes can be recognized in the male genitalia by the subtriangular uncus, the valva with differently shaped claspers, and the short cylindrical aedeagus with spines and dense microtrichia; in the female genitalia by the subtriangular papillae anales, and the corpus bursae with dense spinules and long spines arranged differently.
Distribution. Ancylodes is distributed in the Palaearctic, Oriental and Australian regions (Nuss et al. 2023– 2024).
