Summary. Two species of the small bark-dwelling praying mantis genus Amorphoscelis Stål, 1871 are recorded from Thailand, of them A. pathomwattananuraki sp. n. is described from the rainforest of Southern Thailand. New species can be easily distinguished from another Thai species, A. singaporana Giglio-Tos, 1915 , by the shape of the juxtaocular bulges, the last segment of the cerci, and the male genitalia.
