Genus Iconella Mason, 1981

Type species: Apanteles etiellae Viereck, 1911 . Widely distributed cosmopolitan genus. In Palearctic — about 30 species, in Ukraine — 12, of which 2 are new to Ukraine. The largest number of species of this genus are noted in the central (5) and southern (8) regions of Ukraine. Most of the identified Iconella species in Ukraine are rare or very rare species. The most common were I. britannica and I.merula . The biology of many kinds of Iconella has not been studied. Species of this genus parasitize in Lepidoptera caterpillars of 4 families: Arctiidae , Gelechiidae , Pyralidae (most often), Tortricidae .
