Genus Microgaster Latreille, 1804

Type species: Ichneumon deprimator Fabricius, 1798 . Synonyms: Liganira Walker, 1860 (type — M. detractus Walker, 1860 ); Lissogaster Bengtsson, 1926 (type — M. politus Marshall, 1885 ). Widely distributed cosmopolitan genus. In Palearctic region more 70 species, in Ukraine 24 of which 5 are new to Ukraine. Species of this genus parasitize in Lepidoptera caterpillars of 11 families: Arctiidae , Crambidae , Depressariidae , Gelechiidae , Geometridae , Gracillariidae , Lymantriidae , Noctuidae , Nymphalidae , Nymphalidae , Nymphalidae , Tortricidae (most often), Yponomeutidae .
