Type species: Apanteles (Pseudapanteles) consimilis Viereck, 1911 .
This is a small but widespread genus. In Palearctic there are about 30 species, in Ukraine — 10, of which 2 are indicated by the author for the first time for Ukraine. The largest number of species of this genus (5–7) are noted in the western, central and southern regions of Ukraine. Many representatives of the genus Choeras in Ukraine are found relatively rarely. The most common were Ch. dorsalis and Ch. ruficornis . Species of this genus parasitize in Lepidoptera caterpillars of 11 families: Choreutidae , Crambidae , Elachistidae , Gelechiidae , Gracillariidae , Noctuidae , Oecophoridae , Pterophoridae , Pyralidae , Tineidae , Tortricidae (most often).
