Diagnosis
Its large size (8.0–12.0 mm), extensively yellow body, and black costa and pterostigma enable its separation from other species of Euura .

Host plants
Salix spp. , preferably S. fragilis ( Roininen & Tahvanainen 1989) , occasionally Populus ( Çalmasur & Özbek 2006) . More than one generation per year in suitable conditions ( Pschorn-Walcher & Altenhofer 2000).

Palaearctic. Specimens studied are from Finland, France, Germany, and Sweden.
