Geographic & bathymetric distribution. From USA (North Carolina) to Brazil (Pernambuco), including Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea ( Holthuis, 1971); 707–1760 m depth ( Holthuis 1971; Felder et al. 2009).
Remarks. Previous records in Venezuela: Falcón state, La Orchila Island, 1051–1174 m: ( Holthuis 1971) and Los Testigos Archipelago, 807–878 m depth ( Blanco Rambla et al. 1994).
