Source. In the binomen “ Prostoma tutus ” by Monastero (1931: 59, fig. 8).
Type locality. A beach in Sferracavallo , Sicily, Italy .
Etymology. Latin adjective, tūtUs , - a, - um, meaning “safe, prudent; secure; protected”.
Remarks. Now Tetrastemma tutum ( Gibson 1995: 498, as “ Tetrastemma tutus ”), with the ending of the specific name being mandatorily changed in accordance with Articles 31.2 and 34.2. Monastero’s work on nemerteans from the coast of Palermo was published in Volume 16 of the third series of Atti della reale accademia di scienze, lettere e belle arti di Palermo in 1931.
