Source. In the binomen “ Prostomo aseptata ” by Friedrich (1935: 17); cf. Article 11.9.3.2 (combination with the correct original spelling of the generic name).
Type locality. Kiel Bay , Germany .
Etymology. Adjective, -us, -a, -um; from the negative prefix a -, the Latin neuter noun sēptUm (genitive sēptī), and the adjective-forming suffix - ātUs, referring to the supposed absence of the precerebral septum.
Remarks. The original spelling has been mandatorily changed according to Articles 31.2 and 34.2 (gender agreement). Now Tetrastemma aseptatum ( Friedrich, 1935) ( Friedrich 1955: 169) .
