Source. In the binomen Prostoma bistriatum by Timofeev (1911: 36, fig. 3).

Type locality. Villefranche-sur-Mer.

Etymology. Adjective, bistriātUs, - a, - um; from the prefix bi-, “having two parts; occurring twice”, and the adjective striātUs, “furrowed; grooved, fluted, striated”.

Remarks. Now Tetrastemma bistriatum ( Timofeev, 1911) ( Gibson 1995: 494) . See Annex 2 for English translation of the original description.
