Remarks. Widespread in the western Atlantic, ranging from North Carolina southwards to São Paulo, Brazil, and extending to Central Atlantic ( Manning and Chace, 1990; Felder et al., 2009); on a variety of substrates, most abundant in algae and amongst sea grass, 0– 44m.
