Female holotype from Pinheiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, destroyed in the 2018 MNRJ fire.
The original description is consistent with that of a species of Myrmecotypus View in CoL , indicating a recurved PER, with nearly equidistant eyes, white coxae II, a mediocre pedicel collar and abdomen devoid of constrictions. Despite our confidence that this species indeed belongs to Myrmecotypus View in CoL , no details depicted in the original description are informative at the species level.
