Pteridium View in CoL has a subcosmopolitan distribution, being absent in extremely arid or cold areas ( Schwartsburd et al. 2018). According to the PPG I (2016), Pteridium View in CoL is composed of around four species, however is uncertain due to the recognition of various subspecies in the genus ( Schwartsburd et al. 2018).
