Depth. 1787–4050 m.

Remarks. The genus Octomana is currently monotypic. The present records from Tasmania to Queensland along eastern Australia are a considerable range extension from the original material of Octomana hadromischa Hendrycks & Conlan, 2003 described from the North-east Pacific off Point Conception, California and off British Columbia.

Specimens are in very poor condition, despite being sampled whole in good order the material became disarticulated in 95% ethanol in the first few years following preservation with no obvious cause.
