Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Cephalotilla (Bidentotilla) bidens Nonveiller, 1979 (male), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Valid subgeneric name.

Sex association. The female has not been recognized.

Distribution. Afrotropical.
