Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Ancipitotilla anceps Mickel, 1952 (male), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Junior subjective synonym of Calomutilla Mickel, 1952 (female) according to Quintero & Cambra, 2001b: 293. Subjectively invalid name.

Sex association. The female of the type species has not been recognized.

Distribution. Neotropical.
