Gender. Feminine.
Type species. Odontophotopsis (Periphotopsis) mamata Schuster, 1958 (male), by monotypy (misspelled as mamatus).
Taxonomic history. Junior subjective synonym of Odontophotopsis Viereck, 1903 according to Pitts, 2007b: 4. Subjectively invalid name.
Sex association. The female has not been recognized.
Distribution. Nearctic.
