Type species. Mutilla bubekii Dalla Torre, 1897 (female), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The male of the type species has not been recognized; the male of another species was associated by Brothers, 1975: 590 and described (in a key to genera) by Brothers, 2006: 589 .

Distribution. Neotropical.
