Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Nanotopsis isolatrix Schuster, 1949 (male), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Senior subjective synonym of Chasquitilla Casal, 1970 (female). Valid generic name.

Sex association. The female of the type species has not been recognized; the female of the type species of Chasquitilla was described by Casal, 1970a: 112; both sexes of an undescribed species were associated by Cambra & Quintero, 1992: 473.

Distribution. Neotropical.
