Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Mutilla pustulata Smith, 1873 (male), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The female of the type species was associated and identified (as Mutilla insidiator Smith, 1873: 182 ) by Chen, 1957: 164.

Distribution. Oriental, Palaearctic.
