Taxonomic history. Junior subjective synonym of Ephutomma Ashmead, 1899 according to André, 1900: 136. Junior subjective synonym of Pseudophotopsis André, 1896 according to Brothers, 1975: 590 . Subjectively invalid name.
Sex association. The male of the type species was described by Nonveiller, 1974: 100.
Distribution. Afrotropical.
