Type species. Trogaspidia (Tuberocoxotilla) edmon Nonveiller, 1980 (male), by original designation. The later designation of Tuberocoxotilla lingulata Nonveiller, 1980 by Nonveiller, 1995a: 363 is invalid.
Taxonomic history. Raised to generic status by Nonveiller, 1995a: 363. Valid generic name.
Sex association. The female has not been recognized.
Distribution. Afrotropical.
