Type species. Ctenotilla inopinata Invrea, 1941 (male), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Reduced to subgeneric status in Odontotilla Bischoff, 1920 by Nonveiller, 1996d: 348. Valid subgeneric name.

Sex association. The female has not been recognized.

Distribution. Afrotropical.
