Remarks. The overall description of M. pepocatu by Capellari & Amorim (2011) is very accurate and we found no substantial differences in our specimens, however, some characteristics mentioned in the original description of the species, such as the vertex excavated and the size of the thorax relative to the abdomen, proved to be heterogeneous between specimens, so they cannot be used in the diagnosis of the species. Additionally, we have here provided a better habitus photo of the male ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ), and more detailed description and photos of the male hypopygium of the pepocatu group (see Discussion below) ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 ).
