Much-branched shrub up to 60 cm, glabrous. Leaves 10-20 mm, oblong, lanceolate or ovate. Flowers 3-8 on each spine; calyxteeth not more than 0- 5 mm, very shortly triangular, wider than long, the sinus between the teeth obtusely angled; corolla 7-10 mm, red or pink. Legume 8-30 mm, blackish-brown. Steppes. S.E. Russia, W. Kazakhstan. Rs (E).
