Glabrous perennial 15-50 cm, woody below. Leaves deflate in outline; lobes 1-5 cm, linear-oblanceolate, subacute. Rays 8-36, rather stout. Bracts and bracteoles triangular-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, ultimately deflexed. Fruit 5-6 mm, yellowish or purplish. Maritime rocks, rarely on sand or shingle.
