Comments: While we are confident of our designation at the species level, we were unable to determine what varitey the encountered specimens are. Coesel & Meesters (2007) rated this species as meso-oligotrphic and Croasdale & Flint (1986) noted that it was found in waters that tend to be acidic (preferring Sphagnum ) but also broader pH range of circumneutral.
Distribution: This species and its many varieties are widespread and have been previously reported from southeast Asia, including Kalimantan (Borneo).
