Comments: A poorly known species, it may be related or even synonymous to other, morphologically-similar species such as Euastrum quadriceps Nordstedt.

Distribution: Australia (New South Wales), Africa ( South Africa as “forma”) and Sri Lanka. A new record for

Indonesia. Based on the aformentioned localities, we have treated this as a tropical species.
