Comments: Coesel & Meesters (2007) rated this species as mesotrophic and occassionally found in peat pits. Croasdale et al. (1994) deemed it a tolerant species as it is found in a range of habitats but also noted that it is mainly found in small bodies of oligotrophic, acid water.
Distribution: Cosmopolitan. A new record for Kalimantan.
