Dicolus Förster, 1869: 171 View in CoL . Type species: Dicolus insectator Förster, 1871 (= Megastylus impressor Schiødte, 1838 View in CoL ). Designated by Viereck (1914).

In this study, I newly record this subgenus from Japan based on three species, M. ( Dicolus) excubitor ( Förster, 1871) View in CoL , M. ( D.) impressor Schiødte, 1838 View in CoL , and M. ( D.) pectoralis ( Förster, 1871) View in CoL .
