Age. Pontian (= upper Messinian-lower Zanclean).

Holotype. Laboratory of Paleontology , Bucharest, coll. no. 676, L. P. B. III g.

Discussion. To our knowledge, Goniochilus nodosus Pană, 1990 is no homonym.
