Leptoglossus gonagra (Fabricius, 1775)

( Heteroptera : Coreidae ) was reported by AUKEMA et al. (2006, 2013) for the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. ROCA-CUSACHS et al. (2020) added the island of La Palma to the list of its distribution on the Canary Islands. Recently, L. gonagra was found on the island of El Hierro: On 21-11-2022, an adult specimen was photographed near the Pozo de Las Calcosas in the northern part of the island ( Fig. 1 ). Photos of the specimen were uploaded to the online database iNaturalist (see here and here).
